Family Ties
This work embodies the moment of rupture—physical, emotional, and unseen. Each hand-built wooden box holds a ripped shirt, remnants of a body pushed past its breaking point. One box emits sound: a strained breath, a heartbeat, the echo of something shutting down. The installation recalls the sudden, suffocating weight of a heart attack—panic, pressure, pain—and the quiet aftermath. The shirts are what's left behind: raw, torn, and held in place, as if containment might make sense of the collapse.
