On Time

On August 28th, 2018, I attempted suicide in my college dorm room. This piece reconstructs that space—not to dwell in the pain, but to confront it and give it form. The light embodies my life: when it glows, I endure; when it fades, I drift away. Its return signals survival, resilience, and hope. The shift from black and white into color mirrors that passage—through darkness, into the possibility of healing. Though creating this work was difficult, I believe in the power of honesty, and in the reminder that no matter how lost we feel, there is always a way back.
